Becoming Registered
Registration
The IBS Register is available to qualified practitioners of complementary therapies.
You will be asked to enter your basic contact details. In response to this, you will receive an automated email providing you with your user name and password.
There is an initial registration cost of £65, followed by an annual renewal of £25.
Creating a Basic Profile
Once you have signed up to register on the IBS Register, a user code and password will be emailed to the email address which you supply during the registration process.
This will allow you to login to the Therapist Information Section of the website, to edit your profile. You will be asked for the basic details of your practice and qualifications, the primary discipline that you practice, as well as your website address, should you have one.
This information will be used by us to assess whether or not we feel that you are suitably qualified to be entered onto the register, see membership conditions. Once this assessment is completed, basic contact details and information about you / your practice will be displayed on our website. Your Web address and qualifications will not be displayed.

The approval process will normally take 24 - 48 hours.
Once you have been accepted onto the register, you may wish to consider extending your profile, let potential clients know more about you. Just one extra client easily pays for the basic and extended profile ~ several times over! Make the most of your listing now.
Extending your Profile
An extended profile allows you to promote your practice more effectively through the IBS Register. You will have a search engine optimised web page containing details of your practice, without listing any other therapists on the same page. This page can be used to either further promote your own website, or if you do not have a website, as an alternative. Because your page will be part of a large, popular website, it is more likely to achieve a good position in search engine results. (See example)
The details that will be displayed for an edtended entry will include those for the basic entry, plus the following additional details:
- Details of a second practice
- Details of your qualifications
- Details of the services you provide
- Fees
- Hours
- A further two disciplines
- Areas of specialisation
Extend your profile now. There is a annual charge of £35 for this service.
Once you have paid your annual subscription, the edit profile option will allow you to add / update your details. Any changes to your profile will be screened before being published. This process normally takes 24 - 48 hours.
